Nueva Coordinadora de Ministerios - New Ministry Coordinator

Rosa García ha asumido el papel de coordinación de los ministerios por petición del Padre Rolando.  La función de la coordinadora es facilitar la organización de las distintas actividades de los ministerios dentro del marco de la parroquia.  En unsegundo momento encausa las iniciativas de los ministerios para dar un mejor servicio a la comunidad y a la vez informa al párroco de las mismas.

Rosa García has been named by Fr. Rolando as the new ministry coordinator.  The task of the coordinator is to organize the various ministry activities within the framework of the parish.  An ulterior function is to channel the initiative of the ministries to render better service to the community and to report to the pastor.

Catechist Retreat - Retiro de Catequistas

Esta mañana se reunieron los catequistas para reflexionar juntos antes de iniciar las clases de formación religiosa.  El Padre Rolando habló de Jesús como centro de la catequesis.

This morning the catechists gathered for a reflexion before the beginning of a new year of Religious Formation.  Fr. Rolando spoke about Jesus as center of all catechesis.

Labor Day Blue Mass - Misa del Día del Trabajo

You are invited to attend the 14th annual Labor Day Blue Mass at the Saint Patrick Cathedral on Sunday, August 31st, 2014 at 3 pm. Our presider and homilist will be Most Reverend Mark Joseph Seitz, Bishop of El Paso. This is an important occasion to celebrate the teachings of our Church that affirm the sacred link between our faith, justice, and the dignity of human work.

Usted está invitado a participar en la celebración de la 13a Misa anual del día del trabajo que se llevara a cabo en la Catedral de San Patricio el día 31 de agosto, domingo,  a las 3 de la tarde. Este año la misa será presidida por el  Señor Obispo Mark Joseph Seitz, que también dará la homilía. Esta es una importante ocasión para celebrar las enseñanzas de nuestra iglesia que nos habla de la relación entre nuestra fe, la justicia y la dignidad del trabajo humano.

Servicio de Sanación - Healing Service

Hoy tuvimos el segundo Servicio de Sanación del mes de Agosto.  Fue una ocasión especial para recibir la Unción de los Enfermos.  Tuvimos la bendición de tener al Padre Andy Martínez con nosotros.  Oremos siempre por nuestros hermanos enfermos y por aquellos que no pudieron estar presentes.  Que lleguen hasta ellos nuestros mejores deseos y bendiciones.

Today we had our second Healing Service for the month of August.  This was a unique occasion for us to receive the Anointing of the Sick.  We were also blessed with the presence of Father Andy Martínez.  Let us always pray for our sick brothers and sisters y for those who could not be with us tonight.  May our prayers come their way and may God bless them always.

Talleres de Oración y Vida - Prayer and Life Worshop

La parroquia va a ofrecer los famosos talleres de Oración y Vida fundados por el Padre Ignacio Larrañaga.  Dichos talleres inician el  28 de Agosto de las de 6:30pm a las 8:30pm en el Edificio Pablo VI.  No hay costo.  Para mayor información llamar a Araceli González (915) 999-4123.

El jardín de nuestras almas - The garden of our souls

Nuestras almas son como un jardín donde crecen las virtudes que son como las flores.  Cuando veo las rosas y otras flores al frente de la Iglesia recuerdo que con el agua de la caridad germinan dentro de nosotros hermosas virtues que nos hacen brillar como hijos e hijas de Dios.  Nunca dejes de regar el jardín de tu alma con las bendiciones que Dios pone en tu camino.

Our souls are like a garden where the virtues grow like flowers.  When I see the roses and other flowers in front of the Church I am reminded that with the water of charity the virtues within us spring up to life and they make us true sons and daughters of God.  Never stop watering the garden of your soul with the blessings that God send your way.

Difficulties: Participation of neighbors who are not Catholic and who try to influence or dominate the meeting / Disagreements that result from a poor understanding of the faith.

Necesidades: Biblias / Misales / Textos personales / Dirección pastoral / Reforzar la fe Católica por medio de clases, servicios y reuniones sociales entre feligreses
Needs: Bibles / Missalettes / Pastoral care / Streghten the Catholic faith by way of classes, liturgical services and social gatherings among parishoners.

Propuestas: Invitar a la comunidad para que formen parte de las Casas Iglesias.  
Suggestions: Invite the community to join House Churches

House Church Classes - Clases para Casas Iglesias

Dificultades: Asistencia

Necesidades: Pizarrón grande sobre ruedas que permanezca en la cafetería para las muchas ocasiones de clases o reuniones de tamaño 4x8.  
Needs: A 4x8 size board on wheels in the cafeteria to be used for clases or meetings.

Propuestas: Celebración en las Casas Iglesias de la eucaristía con nuestro párroco cuando el tiempo lo permita  
Suggestions: Celebrate Mass at the House Churches whenever possible.

Encuentro Matrimonial

Dificultades: No hay suficientes parejas activas en la comunidad de San Juan Diego.

Necesidades: Animar a las parejas a que se involucren y pertenezcan al Encuentro Matrimonial

Needs: Encourage couples to join and to belong to the Marriage Encounter

Propuestas: Invitar a parejas que se vayan a casar o que ya vivan juntos a vivir la experiencia - retiro del Encuentro Matrimonial.

Suggestions: Invite couples who are about to marry or who may be living together to go to the Marriage Encounter retreat.
